Royal Hobart Hospital

What it does

The Commonwealth is providing $340 million towards the redevelopment of the Royal Hobart Hospital.

This includes:

• $100 million towards the establishment of the Women’s and Children’s Precinct
• $240 million from the Health and Hospitals Fund for further redevelopment of the hospital that will include 195 new overnight beds and 12 new operating and procedure rooms.

What it achieves

Hobart will have a modern and efficient facility that responds to the health needs of Tasmanians now and into the future.
